Once I started with her I made more progress in a year than I had in three. She uses a story telling method as part of her teaching which is particularly effective. "As someone who has been taking language courses for almost 30 years, I can honestly say that I've met many different kinds of teachers and I feel very lucky to have found Mariana. Her lessons are a well-balanced mix of speaking, listening, reading, comprehension and grammar. We learn in a small group in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
For me, the best part is that Mariana is always patient and encouraging. I never feel, as I did back in school, that making mistakes is something bad. Mistakes are welcome :)
